atproto service integrations are crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
Rendering Frontpage Links in Reaction Section
With the April 26 update, a new feature was introduced to display links to articles containing URLs on any atproto service, not limited to Bluesky, directly in the reaction section.
Additionally, on October 18, the link collection service Linkat was updated to display the link titles along with links to Linkat itself.
Now, a feature has been implemented to render links from Frontpage, an atproto version of Hacker News, in a rich format!
When a WhiteWind article URL is included in a Frontpage post, it appears as a card in the reaction section1.
This allows users to view and engage with reactions to the article within atproto.
🐞 Minor Changes & Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where links in footnotes did not function correctly.
- Resolved issues where duplicate entries could be created during new entry creation under specific conditions, or deleted entries would be recreated.
- Updated to include the at-uri of the original data as an alternate link in the HTML head tag.
A blog of sorts
That's all for the latest updates.
Thank you for reading!
Recently, the faces in Popular haven't changed much, so it might be beneficial to calculate based on a specific time period.
It would also be helpful to tag articles for efficient browsing.
Since the reaction section was down for a while, implementing an automatic alert system would be great.
Strengthening the UX on mobile and adding a WYSIWYG editor for those unfamiliar with Markdown would also enhance usability.
Currently, the only theme is github-light, so adding or customizing themes would be fantastic.
… Even with endless time, it might not be enough.
