All the rage around here seems to center around Personal Data Servers (PDS) as found in the ATprotocol. But what about ActivityPods?
Based on the Solid Project, initiated by Tim Berners-Lee, it extends it to the ActivityPub-based world (aka Fediverse), adding a social dimension to Solid's data storage approach (Social Linked Data).
Solid is an evolution of the web by its creator Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Solid realizes Tim's original vision for the Web as a medium for the secure, decentralized exchange of public and private data.
What is ActivityPods?
ActivityPods brings together two game-changing technologies, ActivityPub and Solid Pods, and empowers developers to create truly decentralized applications.
ActivityPods allows users to create a single account for multiple decentralised social apps. With an account, users get a Personal Online Datastore (POD) to store all their data, as well as an ActivityPub inbox and outbox for communicating across the “Fediverse”.
ActivityPods is a project supported by a mostly French team as of today, as its roots are based on the Assemblée Virtuelle community and the SemApps framework.
Version 2.0 was released in October 2024 and the roadmap has very interesting next steps: Collective Online Datastores (CODs) as well as NextGraph integration for enhanced data portability.

This is an "in progress" microblogging application that allows full interactions with the Fediverse, via the In and Out boxes. You can create an account via its associated Pod here. My address is
