Celtic knotwork as meditation

@genesis.eurosky.social

It's St. Patrick's Day and I have been doing some Celtic knotwork for the day that's in it. As well as being culturally appropriate it serves as a sort of meditative practice to calm my mind. Celtic knotwork looks complicated but has clear rules and patterns that make it much simpler if you know them. I'm still learning but I'm definitely getting the hang of it and I find the process very soothing.

Since I am meant to be flying to Ireland via Dubai in about a fortnight and that transit point is currently in a war zone, my mind does need a bit of calming. I booked this trip in October and have been looking forward to it since before then as I haven't been back to Ireland since 2022 and that was under very stressful circumstances, but it's hard to get excited about it right now because of the high chance I won't be able to travel on the date I've planned or my travel will be significantly disrupted, or both.
