Guides for Finding Hive, a Swarm Weekend in Barcelona, and POSH Remade
@ecency kept the ownership guides coming — how to find anything on Hive, what Hive Power (staking) actually gets you, and how to earn more eyes. The same week @roelandp floated HiveFest XI as a self-organized Swarm weekend in Barcelona, and @acidyo unveiled the New POSH with curation, subscriptions, and quests.

This Week on Hive
Education stayed the loudest product story. @ecency published How to Find Anything on Hive, then Hive Power Explained, plus posts on getting more eyes and streak freeze so a missed day does not kill a streak. That is four plain-language onboarding posts in one window — the ownership series from last week did not slow down.
HiveFest got a fresh shape. @roelandp proposed HiveFest XI as a Swarm: self-organized, one weekend, Barcelona. The post pulled 286 HP, 800 votes, and 59 comments — the community is already arguing logistics in public.
Creator rails moved too. @acidyo shipped The New POSH (151 HP, 48 comments) and followed with community curation, creator subscriptions, and quests. @behiver opened the curtain on building HivePulse. @sagarkothari88 pushed HiveSuite reward-popup and translation fixes. @splinterlands teased Arena Vanguard. @x-rain reported a solid first week of HivePosh on Threads.
On the meetup circuit, @buttcoins hosted Hive Thrive #66 with guest @bozz. @gtg walked through a witness peer incident that cleared connections in one block — useful ops reading. @tarazkp announced stepping down after years of daily posting; the streak board still lists that account at over 3,000 consecutive days.
Four Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) proposals stay above the return line, led by the HBD Stabilizer at 12,000 HBD per day. Print rate remains zero. For how that debt pause works, see issue #75.
Development Pulse
Core node: hive/hive closed a test-path gap so automated tests cannot skip Resource Credit (RC) costs. Still Hard Fork 28 — no Hard Fork 29 on mainnet. Most of the top 21 witnesses already run v1.28.7.
HiveSense: Configurable embedding API landed — Ollama by default, or OpenAI-compatible servers — and the fleet deployed 1.28.6. That keeps hive.blog-style AI search flexible for operators.
3Speak: The TV app shipped Spotlight content blocks and drag-arrange polish in a busy July merge window. @threespeak posted encoder network week 28.

HBD explained: HBD is Hive's dollar token. When debt gets too high, the chain stops minting new HBD. Print rate zero means that pause is still on. Trading prices and chain math differ. Full explainer: issue #75.

Governance
A clear majority of the top 21 witnesses now run v1.28.7. Others remain on 1.28.3 or 1.28.6. The network stays on Hard Fork 28.
