There a few things that enrange me about pubs, no cask being at the top but just below is the subject of this blog, cashless pubs.
It really dismays me when you go in a pub and they say card only, I've told the bar staff that it should be illegal which it should and not just pubs, for me it should be across retail after all it's legal tender!
I was recently in the Hop Bromborough & Hoptomist, Bebington both are card only and have now joined both the AJ in Liverpool & Turks Head, St Helens on my self barred list, I refuse to enter any that don't accept cash.
Imagine you are skint maybe only have a tenner but need to get out and fancy a trip to your local only to be refused because you don't have cash scandalous if you ask me.
Also there are people who only use cash or don't have a card with them, it's plain wrong for a pub to refuse to serve and should be outlawed. if it's legal tender then you shouldn't be allowed to refuse or be refused.
You would think in today's world were pubs need every penny they would make every effort to get custom not put up barriers, madness!
