WhiteWind Update 20240328
Image Upload
Image upload is now supported.
Images are saved in the PDS, just like the blog posts themselves.
Note, this feature is currently activated only for those using self-hosted PDS.
We will notify you again when the feature is made available to all users.
How to Use
Uploading
- Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines at the top left) in the article editor.
- Enter the PDS host name, user handle, and password.
- Select "Upload picture" and choose the image you wish to upload from the image selection screen.
- Image upload and article saving will be executed.
Displaying Uploaded Images
- Click the "Uploaded pictures" icon in the article editor.
- A list of uploaded images will be displayed.
- You can copy the image URL by clicking the "Copy URL" icon on the image list.
This URL can be used in articles, link cards, etc.
Deleting Images
- Click the "Uploaded pictures" icon in the article editor.
- In the image list screen, click the "Delete from blog" icon.
- The image will disappear from the list.
- Save the article to confirm the image deletion.
A Bluesky icon will now appear on the article viewing screen.
Clicking this icon will display a posting screen for Bluesky.
Enter your Bluesky handle, password, and PDS host name to share the post on Bluesky.
Note, using the memory function of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is convenient for remembering handles and passwords.
Clicking the key icon displayed in the address bar will allow you to use the memory function.
Other Minor Changes
- Fixed a bug where saving an article multiple times during creation would create duplicates of the same article.
- Fixed a crash issue when accessing articles via DID.
- Layout adjustments.
