Trying Out WhiteWind

@morgurth.com

So here we go with another (different) attempt at blogging and Bluesky. This one uses WhiteWind as an in browser Markdown compatible editor.

I like it a lot for a couple of reasons. I don't have to log in to my Ubuntu laptop, use VSCode to do the editing and then compile the Zora based static web site and finally, wait for my Google Apps Script job to pick up on the changes.

One reason to not like it is, well, I don't have an archive of my blog entries. lol

Oh, wait. I just noticed the save button on the side of the editor. I guess there is a way to archive it!

So, this blog is really just my random stream of things that interest me. My friends (especially Dan and Chris!) know how I bombard them with the most disconnected stuff in Signal.

Here we go, some random items for your day.

First, I work in IT and this right here is ridiculous. Every company is going to have to hire a full time Cert guy to keep up with this! TLS certificate lifespans reduced to 47 days by 2029

I also need someone to make a Mr. Bill claymation of a couple of slices of Meat Clown frying up in an iron skillet while shriveling into Old Man Meat Clown and maybe saying something funny/philosophical to each other.

Meat Clown

The US is on fire right now, so it's super hard to focus on anything. I know I shift into neutral super easy. Something @shannagermain.bsky.social said that I should do is set a ridiculously simple word goal. Just 100 words. It will make you feel so much better when you can accomplish even the smallest thing. It will also help develop a writing habit (I know I need it!).

That's all for now! WhiteWind is definitely something worth checking out.
