There will be the usual noise about escalation. Ignore it.
Shutov was a legitimate military target. A combatant in an illegal occupation force.
A direct participant in terrorist operations against Ukrainian officers. His elimination is not revenge.
It is counterterrorism. It is what a sovereign state does when its citizens are murdered by foreign-controlled proxies and the international system offers no mechanism for justice.
The territory is Ukrainian. The target was a war criminal. The operation was clean.
Moscow will scream about Ukrainian special services operating in occupied territory. Let them.
