An idea old and sore.
Truth be told, were not as bold

Still awake, your life’s a crime.
Too numb to move, but everything’s just fine.
Which part of you feels good when you let go of yourself?
Which part just prays to crash down from the sky?
Which part just wants to hide away up high on dusty shelf?
Which part begs you to cheat and steal and lie?
Would it be safe to bet you that each aspect found within,
Attests to why you never even try?
Or would you prefer to keep your name and claim it ghastly sin,
That deep down you would rather just go die?
I rolled slow to the side of the bed,
Avoiding eyes where my love is spent.
Leak thoughts to the edge of the room
And back again to stay and loom.
A soft voice comin’ from his heart,
Askin’ me “Where do I even start?”
I think hard and give it time,
And request pours out with a droning rhyme:
