Day 1671 in the Russian circus and Putin’s got that look again,

@ykujkbdp.bsky.social

putin disappears for a week, comes back looking like hes about to announce a moon landing, and all we get is another powerpoint about robot paratroopers. meanwhile, the ruble is doing the limbo, z-bloggers are melting down, and the only thing landing in russia is reality, face first.

putin’s “big plan” is just last year’s flop with new stickers

every time the kremlin gets wobbly, putin does his best bond villain impression, hinting at secret weapons and “decisive actions.” this week its robot paratroopers, next week its cyber bears or ai babushkas. the real story? russia is burning through actual hardware so fast theyre launching training missiles at ukraine and calling it strategy. the only “breakthroughs” are in powerpoint slides and z-blogger fever dreams.

the regime keeps promising a revolution, but all they deliver is a roomba with a go-pro taped on. the only thing these “innovations” have in common is they exist mostly in the heads of guys who think a drone with a potato battery is going to turn the war around.

the only thing more advanced than russian weapons is the excuse generator in the kremlin press office

z-bloggers: from hype men to hype casualties

every time putin teases a new wonder weapon, the z-bloggers go full televangelist, ranting about how the west is finished and russia is about to “shock the world.” give it a week, and the only thing shocked is the conscript who just got told hes being replaced by a drone that cant even make it up a hill.

the “robot landing” is just another cope drop, an excuse for why the front line keeps moving the wrong way. these guys could sell sand in a desert, but even theyre running out of buyers. the only thing more desperate than their takes is the kremlin’s need for a win.

meanwhile, the real action is ukraine hitting deeper and deeper inside russia. ufa, tatarstan, oil depots, wildberries warehouses, all getting smoked while the regime promises a “technological leap” in logistics. translation: theyre going to rebuild with cheaper drywall and hope nobody notices.

trump finally cuts the cord, kremlin spins out

after years of “trump is ours” memes and state tv love letters, the man himself finally drops the hammer. sanctions, back channels cut, and suddenly all those russian officials bragging about their “special relationship” are looking for the nearest exit. the propaganda machine is spinning so hard its about to throw a belt.

the trump-putin phone call that was supposed to be a flex turned into a therapy session. putin begging for a lifeline, trump handing him a “do not resuscitate” note. now kushner and witkoff are bouncing between moscow and kyiv, and the kremlin is stuck pretending its still in control while everyone else is just waiting to see which oligarch jumps ship next.

the regime is playing 4d chess with itself, and losing to a pigeon.

election circus: same clowns, new tent

nothing says “stable democracy” like a ballot box guarded by a guy in a tracksuit and three babushkas with clipboards. the regime’s idea of a fair vote is letting you pick between putin, putin’s stunt double, and a guy who wandered in looking for the bathroom.

the “opposition” is either in jail, in exile, or missing. the only real competition is which region can fake the highest turnout and which official can stuff a ballot box with the most style. its not an election, its a loyalty test with extra steps.

every year it gets more absurd. this time, the only thing more creative than the ballot stuffing is the excuses for why nobody actually voted.

propaganda machine: same playlist, new lows

the kremlin’s greatest hits are still on repeat: “ukraine is finished,” “the west is collapsing,” “russia is stronger than ever.” meanwhile, the ruble is in freefall, the brain drain is now a flood, and the only thing growing faster than the casualty lists are the lines at the border.

every new round of sanctions gets met with promises of “import substitution” and “technological sovereignty.” in practice, that means more chinese microwaves with russian stickers and more excuses for why the lights keep going out in crimea.

crimea, the “crown jewel,” is now famous for rolling blackouts and panic every time a ukrainian drone gets close. the regime promised paradise, delivered power outages and a front-row seat to the world’s slowest military collapse. “everything is under control” is russian for “we have no idea what’s happening, please stop asking.”

nuclear blackmail and the slow-motion collapse

when all else fails, the kremlin waves the nuclear card like a get-out-of-jail-free pass. every time the front shifts or another oil depot goes up, state tv starts threatening to end the world. but even their own audience is rolling their eyes. you can only cry apocalypse so many times before people start asking why you cant keep the lights on in sochi.

the real story is the slow-motion collapse behind the scenes:

  • officials bailing out
  • economy in the toilet
  • only reliable exports are excuses and propaganda

the “second army of the world” is a punchline, and the only thing more dangerous than their tanks is the smell coming out of the ministry of defense.

meanwhile, ukraine’s tech sector is booming, the military’s getting sharper, and every new strike inside russia is a reminder the old rules are dead. the kremlin can spin whatever fairy tales it wants, but the receipts are piling up, and the only people buying are the ones too broke or too scared to leave.

so yeah, day 1671, and putin’s “big plan” is just another round of smoke and mirrors. the robot paratroopers are a meme, the election’s a joke, and trump’s decision to finally cut the cord has the regime scrambling for a new script. the only thing landing in russia these days is reality, and its hitting harder than any drone.

russian propaganda is still free, you just have to pay with your sanity.

every kremlin “breakthrough” is just a new way to explain why the washing machine is missing and the neighbor’s gone.
