Please stay away from Reddit's /r/inthenews because I got permabanned by a conservative-leaning mod there after I tweaked the word "Trump" to "Krasnov" on a news title. Objectively it should be 30-day ban for first time offences, and permabans only for repeated offences.
I filed the first appeal where I tried to explain my side of the story and prepared to apologize, but the conservative-leaning mod muted me for a month because he accused me of "not going to take responsibility". In the second time, after the mute expired, they denied my appeal and even the request to "get all other mods to look at the ticket" to see if a fairer solution is possible.
By now I've filed a Mod Code of Conduct report to Reddit and the latter refuses to look into it whatsoever, I retain the right to forward this to some congressional candidates that I know who can then use it as part of their future congressional efforts to scrutinize Big Tech enshittification.
